This all wooden mallet is hand crafted in Northern Ireland and is made from locally sourced timbers by a professional wood turner (Sarah's dad!).
The solid head is from seasoned Oak from a local forest in County Tyrone or from manufactured Oak, Mahogany or Rosewood.
The Pine shaft is a meaty one inch diameter and its good length firmly fixed to the well weighted head gives a well balanced piece of kit.
The head is firmly fixed to the shaft using a 9 mm hardwood peg meaning everything is solid.
Finished with a coat of 'Finishing Oil' to make it water proof , it makes a nice addition to your Glawning tool kit.
